Hospitality EVENTS for 2017-2018

Coffees are held every Spring and Fall

Our Fall Hospitality Coffee on Stained Glass Treasures: Windows of Kansas City was held Tuesday, September 25. Our Guest Speaker Brice Mathews, Professional photographer and local historian examined treasured examples of the multifaceted art form and the history behind them.

Kansas City is home to world-class art museums, outstanding performing arts venues, and some of the planet’s best barbecue, it also boasts superb works of stained glass created by both world-renowned craftsmen and gifted local artisans. The windows provide a colorful palette of our largely black and white
past, often capturing fascinating stories about Kansas City’s historic buildings, their builders, and their patrons.

Our Spring Hospitality Coffee was held Wednesday, April 18. Our Guest Speaker Mary Lynn Swoffard.

Ms Swoffard recently had a beautiful sculpture unveiled at St. Luke's Hospital. She will speak on the complexities of design and completion of a bronze sculpture.

The 2017 Fall Hospitality Coffee was held in September with our guest speaker, Officer Mark Chudik, from the Leawood Police bringing us up to date on many areas of Safety.
